Pcb for VSPS Phono Preamp

I have the pcb fabricated. It take me less then one hours to solder the components. This is one of the main point to have pcb. It look nice and professional. The down point is, you can’t have it fabricated in low volume with low cost. The pcb is designed by RJM Audio. It fabricated using FR-4 material. The dimension is 50mm x 80mm. It is a compact stereo board which have 2 channel in one pcb.

Printed Circuit Board for VSPS Phono Stage using Op-Amp.

1pcs + Shipping worldwide = USD$7
2pcs + Shipping worldwide = USD$12
3pcs + Shipping worldwide = USD$17
4pcs + Shipping worldwide = USD$23

Each pcb is USD$5. Flat shipping rate worldwide, 1 to 2 pcs = USD$2,Plus USD$1 of shipping charges for every additional of 2 pcs.

I have imported some Hi-end audio grade capacitors for the vsps. They are 4 Nichicon Muse kz for filter cap and Nichicon Muse ES for coupling cap. Estimate to arrive on next Monday.

Well… the month of Febuary gone too fast. Here is the new components and price.  

One bag of components

14 + 6 pcs of metal film resistors 1% tolerance
8 pcs of polyester capacitors 5% tolerance 100v
4 pcs of Nichicon Muse KZ capacitor
2 pcs of Nichicon ES Green bi-polar/non-polar capacitor
1 pcs of Ultra low noise NE5532 dual Op-amp with socket
1 pc of LM7912
1 pc of LM7812

1 bag of component(USD$12) + Shipping worldwide(USD$5) = USD$17

2 bag of component + Shipping worldwide = USD$29

Vsps with Nichicon Muse

The filter capacitors are a bit bigger, so it will stand up a little as what you can see at the picture above.

New assembled and tested VSPS.

I encourage every to build it yourself. Since a guidance have been provided.

    I just bought PCB from Ebay before I found
    Assembled using metal film 1% tolerance resistor, ELNA coupling capacitor, NE5532 Dual Op-Amp and polyster capacitor.

    Finally finished my board today and it sounds great!

    I had some problem getting the right power supply, but ended up with a 12V toroidal transformer connected to a “Snubberized” power supply from chipamp.com

    Have you tried the LT1361 op amp instead of the 5332? According to this blog site (http://jaztech.blogspot.com/2009/07/vsps-quick-update.html) it should improve the sound further.
