Always make your workbench organize, clean and tidy.

It is importance to keep your work bench clean and tidy. Let say, if any screw drop, I’m sure you can fine it easily.  Organize you tools, keep the soldering iron away from any burnable material. This can avoid any unnecessary accident happen. Beside that, each tools are easy findable and reachable. By doing this, you will maintain a steady emotion and free of stress while working.

    Always have another person around

Make sure you don’t lock yourself in your work  room. If accident happen, likes electrical shock, some one else can help and call for 911, 999 or any emergency line.

Be careful with the accessories you wear

Wearing necklace, ring, hand necklace..etc is dangerous while working with electrical stuff. You may get shock by electric if the necklace is long enough to complete a circuit for you.

    Check for main grounding

This must be done before turn on the tube amp you build or an old tube amp you need to trouble shoot. It is good to make sure the chassis is connected to the main AC ground. Try to test it with your test pen, if the Life AC line connected to the chassis, the test pen will light up.So If that the case, try to fix the problem first before turning it ON. In a complete circuit where all components are installed make sure the Life and Neutral line is not shorted.
