    Stereo System

A complete stereo system need an audio player, preamp, power amp and a loudspeaker. You may need to spend more money on it simply because tube amp cost a lot more to build. The easiest way to experience the tube sound is to have a tube headphone amplifier. Have it hook to your headphone and audio player, sit tight and listen to the true sound of tube. Awesome!!

    One Amp

A tube headphone amp is simple to build. It will be simpler if we use an output transformer-less (OTL) design. OTL cure my headache on finding or winding output transformer. HeadWize.com is a very good website for headphone amp. You will see lot of well documented headphone project there. After reading the site for few days. I decided to pick one. Well…guess who will be the luckiest?

    Audio Player

At my school time, people use to carry a Walkman, later a Disk man and now a digital media player. Hmm…. Just make good use of it. A 192kbit/s biterate MP3 it good enough but it will be better if it support FLAC, WavPAC, ALAC and APE loss-less audio file format.

    Headphone

There are plenty choice of professional headphone out there likes Sennheiser, Audio Technica, AKG, Beats, Grado, Sony, Shure…etc. Or the one next to your computer table, take one and enjoy.
