    Tube Sound

Tube sound is just the sound of music or the sound of audio reproduction by using vacuum tube as a media of amplification. We are living in a solid-state audio world now, with almost all music reproduction we listen every day is amplify by a solid-state amplifier (mp3 player, radio, TV, Car audio). It is not easy to experience the so call “Tube Sound”. All commercial available tube amplifier is more expensive compare to your day to day amplifier likes computer, 2.1 system, home theater system..etc. So building your own tube amplifier is still the best choice but where should I start.

    Experience

There are a lot of tube amp you can build but to experience the tube sound it must be done the correct way. Why I said that is because, an amplifier with a tube build at the front end and follow with a solid-state at the back-end won’t produce the tube sound. The same case with a tube preamp connected to a solid-state power amp. You must have a least a tube amplification at the last gateway before it reach the loudspeaker.

    Tube Amp Stereo System

The easiest way to get a whole set of stereo tube amp system is to have a headphone amp hooked to a professional headphone and a  player. By this way, you can keep to cost to minimum yet enjoy the true sound of tube.
