Winding Machine

What should we call this stuff? a winding machine? or a winding Jig? This is the thing I use to wind my transformer using the most conventional classic way. Very suitable for diy-er. Available at ebay around USD$60. Made in China…..Not bad.

Mutated winding machine, this is another kind of winding machine. I class it as semi automatic machine. It build up with auto wire arrangement. It is a bit hard to count the winding turn because it does  not use numbering counter. After a few trial of this machine, I feel that it is not so suitable for diy-er but more ideal for mass production. This is because, every time you change your wire gauge, you need to have a new setup and this do take quite lot of time with mechanical calibration. Cost around USD$150.

This is an advance transformer winding machine. Fully controlled by precision computer. Require precise tooling for every wire gauge. Extremely fast winding, but I still feel that it is no suitable for winding output transformer which require a lot of insulation layer and changing in wire gauge. Very expansive, around USD$6000 not include tooling cost.

The above winding machine is the oldest machine which I know. Available at Pasar Road, very cheap about USD$35 but I don’t like it, it didn’t use numbering count.

This is what we call advance auto winding machine. Fast, accurate and precise (Are you sure?).
